How to get to Warwick by Car DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO WARWICK, NY
FROM NEW YORK CITY: Take Upper Level of G.W. Bridge to Palisades Parkway to Exit 9W to New York State Thruway north and west. Get off Thruway at Exit 15A for Sloatsburg, Tuxedo, and old Route 17 North. Go north through Sloatsburg and Tuxedo (Caution: Speed Traps common in these towns). Two miles past Tuxedo make a left just before the overpass onto Routes 17A/210. Go past Sterling Forest and up over mountain and down into Greenwood Lake (Careful: Speed Traps again!) which is about 7 miles from the point where you made the left. After small bridge entering Greenwood Lake bear right at fork to "Stop" sign. Bear right again at "Stop" sign and almost immediately bear left on Route 17A towards Warwick. Go up over mountain and down and continue straight until you come to a "T" with a traffic signal where Route 17A meets Route 94. Make a right and go north approximately five blocks until you cross railroad tracks and reach three-way intersection with traffic light. This is the center of the Village of Warwick. FROM NEW YORK CITY (IN BAD WEATHER OR SNOW): Take Upper Level of G.W. Bridge to Palisades Parkway to Exit 9W to New York State Thruway north and west. Get off Thruway at Exit 16. Go straight after toll on Route 17 northwest. Get off Route 17 at Exit 126 / Chester. At end of upward sloping ramp make left on Route 94. Follow Route 94 about 4 miles to the Village of Florida (Caution: Obey speed limits... speed traps) . At first traffic signal in Village of Florida (Dunkin Donuts is on far left corner) where 94 merges with Route 17A make a left (on Routes 94/17A which is also called Main Street here). Follow Routes 94/17A South 5.5 miles to Warwick. Travel time: 1 hour 20 minutes.
FROM WESTCHESTER & SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT: Take Tappan Zee Bridge to New York State Thruway and follow directions above. Travel time: Westchester 1 hour 10 minutes, Greenwich: 1 hour 20 minutes.
FROM NEW JERSEY & SOUTH: Get to the New Jersey Turnpike. Take Turnpike north. When it divides follow the Western spur of Turnpike to Exit 16W. Get off at 16W and Take Route 3 West to Route 46. Follow Route 46 for about four miles to Route 23 North. Careful with this exit or you can be forced onto route I-80. Take Route 23 North (actually north-west) to Route 515 (about 20 miles). Make a right on Route 515 (no left is possible) and go north for approximately 7 miles until, after descending a long hill, you pass the A&P and come to a traffic signal in Vernon, NJ. where 515 merges with Route 94. Stay on 94 north for 8.5 miles until you reach thye Village of Warwick. Travel time from New Jersey Turnpike exit 16 depends on time of day (traffic). Can be as short as one hour or as long as 1 and 1/2 hours.
FROM NEW ENGLAND & NORTH: Take I-84 west to Route 17 eastbound (Exit 4E). Follow Route 17 to Exit 124 for Florida and Goshen. Take Exit 124. At traffic signal at end of exit ramp make a left on Route 17A. Go south on 17A approximately four miles to the Village of Florida, NY where Route 17A merges with Route 94. Follow Routes 94/17A south 5.5 miles to Warwick. Travel time: Danbury CT: 1 hour 10 minutes.
FROM PENNSYLVANIA & WEST: Take I-84 east to New York State Exit 2 (Mountainside Road). At end of ramp make left and go 1/8 mile to intersection which is Route 6. Make a left on Route 6 and go one mile to a fork off to the right which is County Route 1 (Signs should say Westtown, Pine Island, or Warwick). Follow County Route 1 for 14 miles through Westtown and Pine Island (first traffic light). Continue on Country route one through two blinking traffic signbals to the next red/yellow/green traffic light. Make a left at that light on West Street. Go 3/4 mile to center of Village of Warwick..
DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM NEWARK AIRPORT TO WARWICK, NY FROM NEWARK AIRPORT (Option 1): Leaving Newark Airport follow the signs to Interstate 78 (I-78). Take I-78 West until Route 24 splits off. Follow Route 24 to Morristown where it connects with I-287. Take I-287 North to Route 23 North and follow directions "FROM NEW JERSEY & SOUTH" above. FROM NEWARK AIRPORT (Option 2): Leaving Newark Airport follow the signs to the New Jersey Turnpike. Take Turnpike north and follow Western spur of Turnpike to Exit 16W. Get off at 16W and Take Route 3 West to Route 46. Follow Route 46 for about four miles to Route 23 North. Take Route 23 north-west to Route 515 (about 20 miles) and follow directions "FROM NEW JERSEY & SOUTH" above. FROM NEWARK AIRPORT (Option 3): Leaving Newark Airport follow the signs to the New Jersey Turnpike. Take Turnpike north (via Eastern or Western spur, but normally Western is best) to the end where it connects with Route I-80. Take I-80 west to Route 17 (soon to become Interstate 86) north. Take Route 17 (soon to become Interstate 86) north, cross into New York State and get on New York State Thruway. Take Thruway north to Exit 16. Get off at Exit 16 and go straight after toll on Route 17 (soon to become Interstate 86) northwest. Get off Route 17 at Exit 127 / Greycourt Road. Go straight to traffic signal. At traffic signal, angle across Route 17M onto King's Highway (County Route 13) and go under overpass, continuing a few miles until you come to signs for Sugarloaf Village. Make right, go through Sugarloaf, and continue five miles to the Village of Warwick. TRAVEL TIME: Travel times from Newark Airport are variable, depending on time of day (worst at rush hour) and many other conditions. Minimum travel time 1 hour and 20 minutes. Maximum 2 hours and 30 minutes.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM STEWART INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO WARWICK, NY Exit the airport and make a right onto Route 207. Follow Route 207 until you reach the village of Goshen. At "five corners" in Goshen bear slightly left onto route 17A. Follow 17A out of the village, cross over Route 17 (soon to become Interstate 86) and continue south on 17A approximately 4 miles to the Village of Florida, NY where Route 17A merges with Route 94. Follow Routes 94/17A south 5.5 miles to Warwick. Travel time: 35 minutes
